Agriculture Volcano Tuff
It is a 100% natural product that is extracted from volcanic basalt rocks (Volcanic Tuff) which are mechanically treated, and marketed as a soil substrate for nursery farming or hydroponic agriculture (SOILLESS).
- The mineral with suitable specifications for agricultural use are selected and mechanically processed to expose its rich micro-nutrients and trace elements (that are important for plant growth before it can be impregnated with NPK making it a superior propagating agent compared to Perlite.
- In addition to their nutrient content, Golden-Tuff products, and Golden-soilgrow substantially reduce irrigation requirements by preserving soil moisture even in arid desert areas.
- By adding Golden-Tuff products as a mulching agent, there is a huge reduction in weeds, thus diseases that are caused by weed growth.

Golden-Tuff Dran is used in two different aspects:
i) Landscaping:
Golden-Tuff Dran is commonly used in landscaping to cover soil (5-7cm in height) where the contrast in color between brown and black is eye pleasuring.
ii) Agriculture:
Golden-Tuff Dran is used to cover soil around trees; to reduce water evaporation up to 25% and reduce water irrigation needs, due to its water holding capacity, it also reduces the possibility of harmful weeds from growing (7-10cm) height.
Golden-Tuff’s unique properties:
- Light weight – less than half the weight of equivalent products (as low as 750 kgs/M3). This ensures the product is efficient to use and ideal for the manufacture of lightweight concrete and masonry products.
- Vesicular nature- Due to its spongy nature, it has 50 times the surface area of normal aggregates. This leads to advantages in water retention (to help drought proof gardens when used as a mulch or soil additive), is also an ideal growing medium for use in hydroponics, growing and potting mixes and soils, and is an ideal filter material

The very nature of the porous scoria material means that it absorbs up to 30% of its own weight in water which is then slowly released to sustain plants over time and so minimize watering needs to ensure that every drop of water is used productively. It also insulates the underlying soil and prevents evaporation while being a natural fertilizer.

The material acts like an insulator and protects the soil from the direct drying effect of the sun and wind and in cooler areas, protects roots from freezing frosts while providing drought protection and natural fertilizer for the soil

Because the material is made from a durable lightweight rock it does not blow away and so saves considerable costs over other products that need annual replenishment

The material is light (about half the weight of normal rock) and is easy to spread and apply by anyone.

Because the material always remains loose and easily raked it makes perfect protection against weeds. An occasional rake will disturb the roots of any weeds and kill most weeds without further effort

Because the material is a natural rock it never fades or degenerates, a similar rake and a slight top-up occasionally is all that is required to keep the product looking like new forever

Works particularly well in pots where it both helps pots drain well, keeps light potting mixes from blowing away, and helps insulate the top of the pot and so prevent water loss

Because the material is a natural rock it contains no artificial chemicals or plants oils and residual components that can poison the soil, our product is a natural fertilizer

Decorative Red Rock is used mostly on the garden or in pots. It is colorfast. The colors will not wash out. It is an attractive cover for the garden and it acts not only as a weed suppressant but also helps to maintain moisture in the soil.
